Chapter 21. His Lies

Walking in, I go straight to her apartment door, screw knocking. Unlocking the door, I step in.

"Woman? Where the fuck were you." My body tenses, and anger flares within me as I step further in and see a man around the corner. He stops and steps back slightly.

"Sorry, I thought you were someone else." I bite against my tongue to stop myself from shoving my fist in his mouth.

"I assume you know why I'm here?" I step closer and spot another guy. My body runs cold. That's him from the picture.

"You're Dan, right?" Mac speaks, which makes me realise I am growling at the other guy. Sorting out my head, I turn back to Dan.

"Yeah, why?" His words are quieter.
