Dario POV

After leaving Evaline in the bedroom, I found Marco. Only to be told we had to leave. I wanted to talk about Evaline and this guy but now isn't the time.

"It's simple, Mr Pesci." Evan looks at Marco.

"You see it as simple, but it isn't." Marco barely moves, his eyes staying fixed on him.

"With your approval, it will be simple," Evan states, clearly not backing down.

"Which won't happen. Evan, your past is long. Your history makes you a target to the police regardless of what you're doing. You could go clean, and they would be watching." Marco isn't wrong. Evan has built a name for himself, and not a good one.

"Your connections within the police could fix that." Clearly, Evan isn't about to give in.

"My connection within the police only works because I don't ask too much of them. Just warnings when needed and help to clear things up."
