Chapter 29. Job

After we returned, Dario kissed me and said he had to deal with business. It feels more like he is running. Again. I know he looked at the pictures and convinced himself everything was real.

It wasn't. I can't stay in the bedroom. It's too early. Climbing from bed, I walk down and see Alice and Lucia.

"Come sit with us!" They look at me, and I walk over.

"I thought you guys would be busy." I'm sure they should be.

"No, all the guys went out. Felicity, it is with Iz, so just us two here."

Walking over, I sit with them.

"How did things go today?" Lucia looks at me.

"What do you think? He saw pictures of me and Dale."

"You two lived together for ten years; there would be pictures." Lucia laughs. "I am guessing it was nothing in Dario's mind, so seeing it in pictures made it more real."
