"Bella, how many times do I have to tell you that Giovanni has refused to permit anyone to go anywhere at this point? War is starting with the Hendrix's, and so we must obey him. You know that his words are commands that we need to follow all the time."

"Mom, how many times do I have to tell you the fact that his words don't matter to me? I do not consider myself part of this family, just as your husband doesn't consider me as his own. And I no longer wish for his acceptance, because I can find my own path in this life. Simply put, I am not you; therefore, I am free to do as I please."

Once again, Belinda has had enough of her impulsive and frequently reckless daughter. She is doing everything in her power to get Giovanni to take Bella in, but her daughter consistently goes against what is commanded, making it hard for her husband to trust her completely and acknowledge and treat her daughter as his own as well.
