In a belligerent tone, Luca asks his son as soon as Calix enters his office, "Calix, what's this? I've heard about you taking the captives. What is this all about? I told you to bring me Giovanni, didn't I, but what did you do? You took the heiress from me?" He is clearly dissatisfied that his son is making his own decisions without even informing him of the plans.
