Chapter 18. Something’s Not Right

Shantelle's POV

I pretended not to see Gavin and proceeded to leave. Even at this late hour, the rapid beating of my heart continued. 

I had no idea why I was suddenly struck with this strange sensation, and I didn't even know the cause. 

That was from such a different culture that I am unable to identify it. Now that I think about it, I should definitely go for a stroll by myself. 

I don't have the time or energy to attempt to figure it out.

When I elevated my head, I had a better look at the gigantic rock formations that were out in the distance. 

After making my way ahead, I sat down. The most of the day has been spent by me moving about on foot and standing.

 I'm very exhausted. I'm aware that I'm behaving strangely, but the truth is that I can't even explain or comprehend myself.
