Chapter 60

After Andrew left, Carmela followed Sarah into the living room. 

Sarah's parents, John and Martha, were sitting on the couch, and they greeted the girls with wide smiles. 

"It's so good to see you again!" John said, standing up to give them each a hug. "We've missed you both."

"It's so good to be back," Carmela replied, hugging John and Martha. "This place still feels like home."

Martha laughed, her eyes twinkling. "Well, you're always welcome here," she said.

Sarah led Carmela into the dining room, where a delicious-smelling meal was waiting for them. The table was set with china and silverware, and the whole room was bathed in the warm glow of candlelight.

"I hope you're hungry!" Martha said, smiling as they sat down at the table. "We have plenty of food, and we're so happy to have you here."

"We're so grateful to be here," Carmela said, looking around the table at Sarah, John, and Martha.
