Chapter 21. Night out

I sigh as I stare down at my drink.

This is supposed to be my chance to get the release I desperately need, but instead of hunting for a gorgeous woman to share a bed with tonight, I’m sitting at the bar and staring down at my fifth glass of whiskey. With each new glass, I hope I can get my wolf to calm down and cooperate with me.

Ever since we left the pack house, he has been grumbling and pacing back and forth in my head. Ultimately, he is blowing my entire mood.

When I left the pack house, I had a mission to accomplish. However, at this rate, I’m going to have to go back home and use my hand again.

The stench of alcohol mixed with sweat hovers in the air as the heavy beat of the music pounds against my head. Even though it is one of my favor songs playing, I don’t find it enjoyable at all tonight.

My wolf barks, “Go home! We shouldn’t be here.”

I ignore him as I tear my eyes off my glass and glance around the club.
