Chapter 86. Something Wrong?

It has been a few days and Bry still has the same look on her face, like she is going to get sick any second. When I asked her about it the last couple of nights, she says it is nothing, but as her condition persists, I don’t believe it is nothing. Something is clearly wrong with her.

I stare at her while she eats, but she plays with her food more than she eats it. With her fork, she has shuffled the food around on her plate, but she has only taken a few bites. Her color is slightly off too. I don’t want to say she is pale, but it isn’t her normal, healthy glow.

I furrow my eyebrows together as Blake looks across the table at her and swallows done his food. “Bry, is something wrong with your food? You don’t seem to be interested in it today.”

The corner of her mouth slides to the side and eventually curls downward. “It is nothing. I’m not very hungry right now.”

He rests his arms on the table on either side of his plate and stares at her. “I know t
