Chapter 127. No Smile Yet

"We will ride tomorrow at sunset," said Lady El.

"How about we go now!" James said as he quickly switched his attention on Lord Stan, "Tell the Baroness I have gone to see the king!"

 Lady El has been afraid of the dark after her encounters with some creatures of the dark. She prefers to ride during the day rather than at night. "It's already late to ride now," she said.

"Who said we are going to ride?"

"Then how do..."

Lady El's words faded away when James snapped his fingers, initiating his teleportation ability as they both disappeared into a blue glow.

They came to a rough landing at the throne hall of the king. The guards rushed in with their swords drawn out. They thought the palace is under attack. "You two are surrounded!" yelled the first guard. They could barely have a clear view at them since the flaming torches are some paces affixed to the wall.

Lady El drags herself up to her feet. She stretched her waist and fli
