Chapter 219. I Chose the Path

Eferius was spellbound seeing Jane walk out from the portal without Daniel as the portal quickly closed. Without saying a word to Eferius, she made her way outside and sat at the entrance of the castle with deep thoughts.

She stares into the sky gazing into the crescent moon. With no idea of where to find Amara, she’s lost of ideas.

“Are you alright?” Eferius approaches from behind.

“I needed to be left alone.”

“But we…”

“There’s no but!” Jane yelled glaring at Eferius. Torturing and obliterating the demons didn’t make them speak a word of Daniel’s whereabouts. There’s no way she could work in finding Daniel without a bit piece of information from the ones she believed had him.

As Eferius was about to walk out. She called her back and apologized. “I understand how you feel right now but you shouldn’t give up on him,” said Eferius.

“I’m not giving up on him.”

“You couldn’t find him in the underworld, yes?”
