Chapter 9. Attacked by Rogues!

My eyes widened in shock and I stood up as it dawned on me that the man standing in front of me was truly Vlad. 

"You're the stranger from behind the potted plant?" 

"Hmm", he nodded, affirming my suspicions.

 "How's that even possible? But you don't have a scar on your face. Wait, did you lie to me about that" I asked right before the carriage moved, making me fall onto his lap. He just chuckled at my question. His hands made their way to my waist, turning my back to face him and trapping me on his lap. "What are you doing?" I shouted, already flustered by his actions. One of his hands pressed me to him so that I could feel the hard muscles that lay beneath his cloak. His lips were dangerously close to my ears, and his breath on my neck stirred things within me that I could not understand.
