Half a tray of champagne later, Aaron was still on edge about the live proposal and the way Emily was taking it. Keira promised to take him somewhere where he could call her right after they got through the ambush/party thrown in their honor by the next gens. It wasn’t quite enough though. He couldn’t focus on what anyone was saying.

Why did he keep making the same mistakes with Emily? First he got involved with Zoey knowing he was in love with Emily. Then he got involved with her cousin Aria, only to choose to follow Emily’s ass around when he thought she was in trouble instead of reuniting with Aria.
