Flashback to two weeks ago:

Vila, the purple dragon's lair

Edgar Allan knew he was already fighting a lost battle. He had been consulted by Jerushah, the daughter of Jotham, and she had warned him about the danger ahead.

Not only that, he was about to repent. The reason why he was serving Lord Darius was that he didn't want to lose his wife, Sandra.

Lord Darius killed their daughter, and he threatened to kill Sandra if Edgar didn't be his advisor. That left him no choice but to serve him.

He loved his wife so much, and he didn't want to lose her just like he lost his daughter. If he knew that Sandra was one of the ancient witches, he wouldn't have joined him.

In short, he was protecting the one he loved. He couldn't imagine losing everything he had worked hard for.

He walked down the alley that led to the outside of the purple dragon villa and led to the garden. He inhaled the fresh air and allowed his mind to drift back to his past.
