Chapter 114. Just So Good
Marissa smiled as she rolled over in bed and sighted the platter of toast bread, scrambled eggs, and a thermos on her bed stand. She inhaled deeply as she realized that it was the delicious scent wafting from the plate that woke her up. Her smile widened when she saw the plate of cut-up fruit laid beside the food, and she sat up, picking up a watermelon. She bit into the juicy flesh as her eyes alighted on the note beside it.
"I didn't want to wake you up since I know you need a lot of sleep, since I was the reason for the lack of it as it is, and I also do not want to relive trying to explain to your grandma why I was here at the wee hours of the morning while her gaze narrowed with every try. No, thank you. I'd rather delete that memory forever. Grrrr. I can't wait for the day when I won't have to hurry off anymore, sweetheart. This wait is killing me. Emma and I had a deal that I would take him to school today, so you'd be seeing my face sooner than expected. Love you <3
