Chapter 346. Not Their Faults
“What man?” Tomiwa’s head swerved so sharply that she felt a crick in her neck, but before she could wince, her eyes fell on the blinding blossoms of orange lilies. She was almost tempted to bend down and count it, just to see if it was a hundred blossoms, as she automatically thought. Childish, she thought, and then her eyes landed on the neatly tucked note amidst the blossom. She picked it up and read the cursive handwriting she had seen before “This reminds me of you, and it represents my hope that you would allow me to discuss it with you, mo chroi. I have heard of the great scenery in Nigeria, but I don’t want to explore it without your presence, Sunshine. Give me a chance, please; my number is on the back of this card.”
She flipped the card over and saw the number. She squeezed the card, threw it in the direction of the trash can beside Donald’s space, and missed. The paper fell to the floor soundlessly.
“Toss that in the trash can,” she said to Donald as she pointed
