Chapter 36. Change of Mind

"Hello, Rosalind. How are you doing today?" Marissa spoke slowly as she tried to stem the breathiness of her tone.

"Oh, I am doing fine, Marissa. How are you and everyone?" Rosalind asked with a clear voice, like she had started her day already.

"Oh, you know, I am just lying here, trying not to think about what tomorrow means for me," she said 

"And fantasizing about someone you claimed not to like, of course," her inner voice added, but she firmly ignored the truth in that as she continued, "Mama and Emma are still asleep though; at least that's what I think as I haven't heard any sound from them. I am too lazy to go find out yet, though, so I would just lie down till I am ready or one of them finds me." She laughed softly, and Rosalind answered in kind.

"Knowing that you are an active boy, I am sure if you don't get up soon, you will be hearing "mummy" soon enough."
