Chapter 41. First Times

"I swear, if you do not quit your ridiculous talk this minute, I will gag you!" Bernard threatened Marissa, who only raised her head defiantly and scowled at him.

"You will gag who? How dare…."

"Don't even say it," Bernard said through clenched teeth. "Don't even try to say, How dare I? Because when it comes to you, sweetheart, I tend to dare a lot. You are the most infuriating woman I have ever come across in my life, and you push all my buttons. As many buttons as I realize that I have!"

"Don't you even go shouting at me! I was only stating the facts, and you are acting as if what I was saying was wrong! Who is the hypocrite now, ehn?" Marissa fired back at him while standing her ground even as he approached her with his hot, devouring look.
