Chapter 16

Like my usual morning routine, I wake up early to shower. I forced myself to eat even though I was on a diet. I was forced to wear clothes that were out of my fashion. I hope Kameron’s life is more exciting.

“Looks like I’m back in the good old days,” I mumbled while hopping out of the car.

The reason Steven made that I couldn’t attend the dinner last night was excellent and valid. Thank God Aunt Rona and Kameron’s father didn’t interrogate me as if I committed a crime for ditching that stupid dinner.

Steven is absent today.

I feel like Steven halted his time because of me. I persuaded him too much. I never thought his long dream had come true! Should I give up on him?
