Chapter 41

Until I got stuck in the hospital owned by the Howards, Jaxsen and I had been cold to each other. No one tried to break the enormous ice between the two of us. I don’t know why he suddenly went cold! At least I have a reason to be mad at him! He thought maybe I had forgotten the photo of him that his witch sister had given me!

It’s been two days since Steven and I talked about Hale. That night Jaxsen came home, I ignored him like he was a wind to me, and to my surprise, he did the same!

My body had already moved, so I decided to leave the hospital and go home, but I was still wearing a cast for my left arm and a bandage on my forehead.

Steven offered to fetch me to the hospital, but I rejected his offer. I went with Jaxsen. He did not refuse, nor did he offer. I opened my door while he, in turn, put my belongings in the back of his car.

I wanted to know how far he would settle in this situation! Fuck him! He never even glanced at me when we were in his car! D
