Chapter 46

After their short conversation, they returned to their respective jobs. I secretly took some pictures of Jaxsen. I want to keep these memories if everything turns where it should be someday.

When I left hiding, I slowly came out when Jaxsen noticed my presence. I stood straight like a kid scout and waved my hands to him a little.

“Hi.” I just said that.

His eyes dropped to my left arm, making his eyebrow crease. I sniffed; that one was so annoying. The silence between us was lost when the man suddenly appeared earlier with another meal.

“Oh my, it’s not over yet, Ma’am!” His hand flew to his mouth, and disappointment popped on his face.

“Uh, sorry…?” I ask for an answer. I hope I didn’t show up first!

“It’s okay, come here,” Jaxsen commanded, tapping the chair.

I slowly approached and sat there carefully. They continue what they’re doing while I watch them silently doing their thing, my mouth drooling while looking at the main course!
