Now, that was a plan I had been keeping close in my mind for some time. The idea was terrifying once I said it out loud, for some reason. That didn’t seem to bother Sebastian; he only limited himself to stating, as if nothing had happened:
“Then you’re going to run away again.”
“Basically, yes. Any problem?”
“Tell me, any problem with your father?” he retorted, seriously.
“And now why are you bringing my father into this?”
“I don’t know, maybe because your father is the Majority Alpha and you are his firstborn; until ten years ago, his successor?” Sebastian replied, with a smile that showed his fangs, in an assertive gesture. “It even makes sense and everything. You are terrified of not being as good as him and rather than fail, you prefer to escape. Because failing means failing a couple million of our people, and that scares anyone.”
