It’s been two days since Lily announced the effect of my using the Blood Emerald. Lucas had been outrageously raging about it. I still didn’t let him have his way and gain possession of the Blood Emerald. The crew had vehemently refused me carrying out the task of saving the world until they figured out a better way for the world to be saved that wouldn’t include me using the Blood Emerald. But I knew deep down that there was no way that was possible and I was sure they knew that too.

“What if we try to use the Blood Emerald to connect Mephistopheles to give us another way?” Elijah suggested. We were gathered in an open field a little far from the war. It was getting worse every day.
