Chapter 14

We opened the different packages and they were all luxurious items.

"Are you still mad at me? You haven't said a word to me since morning." Caden started a conversation as we continued to unwrap the presents.

I ignored him and continued unwrapping. He was quiet for a while and did not say anything.

"Lauren?" He called but I still ignored him.

But the next thing he said made me turn to look at him.

"How about we visit Leslie in Paris?" He asked.

I stopped what I was doing and looked at him properly.

"Leslie is back in the country. She is not in Paris. I thought I told you that she came back six months ago." I replied. I tried to keep my voice as calm but still stern as possible.

My face was in a thin frown too.

"Yeah, that's true. I totally forgot. But from what I remember, she was not in our wedding, your mom too. If she is in the country, why didn't she come?" Caden asked.
