"Hey guys, it's Tessa." I started with a sniff. I took my handkerchief and wiped the invisible tears in my face.

I had put on very light makeup that it seemed like I did not wear one. My hair was not exactly arranged but it was not very disheveled either.

I made sure to look pitiful but still pretty.
