Chapter 63

I got to the office, Caden’s office actually as I decided to move in and stay in there like I was supposed to do.

Caden was in and I’m was glad, I could not face him just yet. I went straight to my desk and brought out my phone from my handbag.

With trembling hands, I dialed mom’s number. It kept ringing and ringing but there was no answer.

I paced around the office with my hand on my forehead as I kept on trying mom’s number but there still was no answer.

And for the hundredth time, mom finally picked up the call and I breathed out a sigh of relief.

“Hello, mom? A—” I was saying but mom loud and angry voice cut me short.

“What have you done Leslie? Do you have any idea what you have done to your sister? If anything happens to Lauren, it would be your fault!” Mom yelled angrily at me and before I could even say anything, she ended the call.
