Chapter 78

I sighed and rolled to the other side of the bed but I could not feel anybody on the bed. With my eyes still closed, I used my hand to search for Caden beside me but I still could not feel him.

I opened my eyes immediately and I found out that Caden was not on the bed.

“Caden?” I called out drowsily but I got no response.

I got to the bathroom and knocked gently on the door but there still was no response and no sound of water running.

I went downstairs and I heard sounds coming from the kitchen. I went there and found Caden eating an apple with the fridge opened.

“You are awake?” I called out him from behind the fridge and he got startled as the apple in his hand fell. It fell and it hit my leg.

“Ouch!” I winced in pain. I raised my leg up and groaned lightly.

Caden quickly closed the opened fridge and looked at me properly.

“Are you okay?” He asked softly. I was angry that he could even ask an obvious quest
