Chapter 46. Upset with Aries

Andrea ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She realized that returning home had been a mistake. She was far better off in New York. Nothing had changed at home. Her father’s words rang in her ears and she felt hurt and humiliated. Helpless tears trickled down her cheeks, and she immediately wished she could go back and never come back here. Why would she marry a stranger and waste her life here? She would run away from home! 

Her mind went numb as she ran across the fields in no particular direction, with no particular destination in mind. She just needed to get away from her disgusting family. How was it that all stood watching the injustice being meted out to her, yet no one had the courage to protest? She was totally disappointed with everyone, especially her dad. He didn’t deserve a daughter like her. Instead of encouraging her, instead of appreciating her brilliant academic performance at college, all he could think of was her ruining the family’s name.&nb
