Chapter 41. The Revelation

Ashley’s POV

I’m not sure what made me woke up the following day however, I feel grateful that I am alone in the room when I open my eyes and look around me. I remember forcing myself to sleep last night while I know that Vincent is in the couch leaning his back and pretending to have fallen asleep.

The brief kiss he gave me lingered in my lips as my right hand move to caress the soft spot where he planted me a kiss. He stayed until dawn when I thought he would leave after the kiss, but he choose to stay. I just felt his presence left when it was almost three in the morning.

A soft knock on the door brought me back to my senses.

“Yes, come in please.”

“Good morning Miss Ashley, your mother is here in the palace. She is downstairs waiting for you.”
