Chapter 78. War in the West

Vincent’s POV

The air feels different, the winds that blow from the East will past the trees and the tall grasses carrying the scent of flowers and the insects that joins the course of nature. However, it doesn’t feel normal anymore. Every day since I arrived in the West, I make it a habit to sit by the balcony and used my heightened sense of smell to get familiarized myself with the scent around me. And now I am certainly aware of the strange scents that mix with the usual scents that I inhale every day.

My eyes squinted as I tried to look much closer into the tall trees. Calib who just left to run some errands is still in the mansion, I can feel his footsteps going down the stairs. But before he could leave, I opened the mind link to call him.

“Calib, come back. I want you to see something.”

I feel his movements stop and then he walks towards the stairs and back into the door which leads to the balcony. “What is it, Your Majesty?”
