Chapter 85. The End
The silence was deafening. I turned in the bed, trying to make myself comfortable, holding on to the sweet fog of sleep, but it was slowly ebbing away. I grunted and turned to the other side. It definitely wasn’t the bed—it was comfortable, too comfortable. Or maybe it was the sound of the trees or the sunlight that was practically blinding me. I opened my eyes, giving up on the hopeless mission to stay asleep; my mind simply wouldn’t allow me to keep sleeping. The room was different.
I sat on the bed and looked around. The green-and-gold sheer canopy that draped the sides of the bed blurred my vision, but I could see it. The wooden dresser, golden mirror, and a large mosaic tile–like carpet were no doubt from the human world or the Pixie clans.
