Chapter 15. The Package

Marcellus’s POV

“It can’t be…….” I muttered, refusing to believe what was in front of me, enclosed in a box that had been sent from Mooncrest. I was stunned, too shocked to even speak. At that exact moment Aurora’s father, Siege, was holding a celebratory party to honor his son, Elric’s arrival. News of the ‘package’ arriving the pack had spread and Siege believed it was his son. We had held countless meetings, reached out to so many people to become allies in a brewing war against the Mooncrest pack.

He believed they thought they had fooled us into harming our pack, then agreeing to take his daughter in exchange for his son. He wanted to pay them back brutally, and shut me up when I insisted during the meeting that we needed to thread carefully so as not to end up walking into a trap we weren’t prepared for.

“Close the box and bring it with me.”
