Chapter 46. Fraternizing With an Old Lady

We finally pulled up at a coffee shop, a very fancy one. Liora and I got down first and then the old lady, supported by some of the guards.

I so badly wanted to go help the old lady out too but I wasn’t sure if I would be breaking any laws by doing that so I let it be. We walked into the coffee shop and took our seats in a table. The attendant came to ask what we’d like and everyone ordered for something I didn’t exactly know while I ordered for water. Back at home, the only drink I knew of and could prepare were herbal teas. I was skilled in the art of preparing medicines for sick people but that was it. I wasn’t used to having anything else.

“Really your grace? Just water?” The old lady asked. She had a playful smile on her lips.

I nodded respectfully. “Yes ma’am. Water is fine for me.” The store attendant said she would have our orders brought shortly and left
