“You really care for that man like he is your son. What is your story?”

Alexa smiled when she heard Isadora say that.

“I really do. He is like my son... at least that is how I feel.”

How could she not? She watched him grow into the man he is now. He was cold before and never let anyone come close to him or open up much, but ever since Mercedes came into his life, he changed and Alexa was happy that he had finally got someone capable of melting the ice he built around his heart. She could never emotionally get through to him despite trying for many years. All she could do was keep reminding him that he was not alone.

“Him and I go way back. I knew his mother. She was a sweet woman and so was his father. You know, many people are not very fond of our kind, especially werewolves, but his parents held no prejudice against me. They were kind to me for who I was,
