Chapter 46

To say he was happy was an understatement. Today he would get to spend time with his mate. He was grateful for this moment, no matter how little it was. He had her all to himself for the next few hours. It'd been hard for Felix to be away from her, but he knew and understood that it had been so hard on her as well. She has to sacrifice the most in this situation and Felix doesn't want to add to her troubles. That would be selfish of him.

Hand in hand, they walked through the woods heading to the lake. Felix left Josh in charge of everything in the meantime. He held on to her hand, never letting it slip because it felt like he would never be able to hold it again. I'm trying so hard to be optimistic, but it is so hard to live without her. I absolutely hate it, but what I hate more is that I am completely helpless. This isn't a situation where I can just flick off and it goes away. The fate of the realms lies on her shoulders.<
