Chapter 69

Queen Luna Ava led Alexa and Felix to her husband. She was fully aware that what she was doing was wrong, but the heart of a wife won the war. She wasn't going to sit back and allow her husband to die while there was something she could try. She wasn't going to give up on him.

The guards were following behind. Queen Ava had instructed them to guard and be on the lookout for the Queen Mother. She would not allow her to let a witch see him. It was a good thing that she was unwell, or she would come and make a fuss to stop them. As they were walking in the hallway, the atmosphere turned cold and heavy. Alexa could feel it. It was like another entity was present in the vicinity. Alexa started to feel unsettled, but she didn't say anything to anyone because she didn't want to cause panic.

They arrived at Alpha Logan's chambers. Alpha Logan was asleep on the bed in his room and around the bed curtains shielded him from view.
