Chapter 38
Minrad moved closer to her, and she felt her soul was leaving her. The snake wouldn’t stop until she was gone because of what he had done to it, but she was still dying slowly, and it was pissing him off.
He brought his knife out of his pants and raised it above his head, willing to strike her with it.
The door came open, interrupting him, and acting fast, he stabbed the snake instead, not bothering to know who it was. He just did not want to be caught.
The snake hissed loudly and unraveled itself around Myan.
Minrad knew the serpent would attack, so he pinned it to the floor with the knife against its head.
“What happened?” Ash went to where she was and frowned at the snake on the floor. “I sensed she was in trouble.” He snapped.
Myan couldn’t talk. It felt as if the snake was still wrapped around her neck. She felt sore and wanted to pass out, her body slowly getting used to the presence of the oxygen on
