Chris didn't let me out of her sight the entire afternoon. She would have followed me to the bathroom had I not warned her to stop doing that. It was awkward trying to hide from her. For the first time since I set her free, Chris was trying to act her part once more as the protector she swore to be.
I had to cast a spell on her before I left, or else it would have been difficult to sneak out with her hawk eyes, always on everything I did.
I hurried over to the bar, praying for it to remain at the spot it was on this morning. On my way to the place, I imagined the bar developing legs and running away now that I had located him. It wasn't far-fetched. Something like this happened in a cartoon I watched some years ago.
