Scarlett's POV

She was having trouble sleeping. She made an effort, but shutting her eyes proved impossible. She had an overwhelming amount of knowledge that kept swirling in her mind. The Lycan king was afflicted by the plague. He had been holding onto it for almost a whole decade. He had it long before they crossed paths over five years ago, prior to their affair that led to the conception of the twins. He had a point; if his plague had been like the others, he would have infected everyone that came into contact with him over the past decade, but it was different. 

Well, at least that is a positive aspect to consider. It seems unlikely that he could have transmitted the plague to her sons during the time he was with them. It really revolved around physical touch and closeness. But what if they had the plague because he's their father and they came from him? They did not have the plague; it just was not possible.
