Mercy’s POV
I inched closer, though still behind the pillar, and instantly threw one of the materials at the other side of the hallway.
I made it look like someone was there. The guards exchanged looks and waited for a while, but nobody came out. They shrugged and stood back on their ground.
Fuck…!
I gritted my teeth and threw another one. This time, they exchanged a suspicious look and started heading to the other side of the hallway, where the sound just came out from, leaving one guard behind.
I sighed, and once I was sure that the other two were out of sight, I threw another material at the other left side of the hallway. The other remaining guard stretched out his head to see if he could see anything. Not seeing anything, I watched him start taking a slow stride toward the other side.
