As Alexa travelled back home to her pups and the Lycan king, she could not help thinking how messed up and cruel life was.

‘It would be easier if any of these mates were cruel but they are all deserving of me and my pups. The person I doubt his qualification is even the person I seem to be ending up with!’ she mused.

Hector, the Lycan king was the least deserving of her and her pups. ‘He got me pregnant and left without a word. I carried the babies without help or word from him!’ she muttered to herself. ‘I nearly died at childbirth and he was not there. What kind of a Lycan king is he if he could not smell that he had pups and that they were in danger and come to their rescue and their mum?’

‘He was not there all through the six years they grew. He didn’t partake in their upbringing and training till now and he is being handed the pups on a platter. What has he even done to deserve me or my pups, apart from being the donor of the sperm that fertilized my eggs?’ sh
