Chapter 19. Revelation (1)

When Alexa got to the house, she could no longer call it home, her father was not around but had gone to see Alpha Fred Connor who had sent for him.

“You are here again?” her half-sister asked, eyeing her speculatively.

“I am not here to see you, Camellia,” Alexa told her sister gently. “I do not wish to see you just as much as you hate seeing me but I must speak to my father!”

“Well, he’s not here!” she replied coldly.

“I have been intimated that he went to answer the Alpha’s summons,” Alexa said. “but I can wait for him. I shall wait here. This is my house—home too!”

“Not anymore!” Camellia said, her hands on her waist.

“Says who?” Alexa asked surprised and more than a little hurt and wondering why she should be surprised. She should have expected this considering the treatment she was accorded the last time she was here. But does Camellia really have the nerve to kick her out of her father’s house?

“Says me!” Amelia, her step mother said.
