Chapter 105. New Princes

Doron, the midwife, entrusts Oriya with her firstborn son for washing and attending to other postnatal affairs.

Everything is already in place in an adjoining room, Amira and Cissy took care of that a long time ago. Now the delivery and everything around it can go smoothly.

“Now it's time to help the next pup,” the nurse announced.

Harad erupts in a frantic cry of terror.

“Another pup?” he gasped in disbelief. “Are you suggesting we are having twins?”

With an infectious grin spreading across her face, Doron settles back into her spot once more.

A half hour later, the second son enters the world.

Harad is filled with an inexplicable euphoria as he proudly cuts his newborn's umbilical cord. Overcome by emotion, he showers kisses on the little one, too emotional to utter a single word. Cissy and Amira have a chance to hold and adore this precious bundle before Oriya comes to retrieve him from their arms.
