Something inside me shifted as I clasped Vashti's hand.

As I scrunched up my face in confusion, an immediate question arose within me - what was happening here? There was an unsettling feeling resonating through me regarding Vashti; a sensation too reminiscent of the bond I shared with Xanne but lacking intensity. It felt more like a fleeting attraction than anything else.
