“You look beautiful,” he murmurs as he leans to kiss my cheek. I’m wearing a cream simple but elegant sleeveless dress and high stilettos. Max takes my hand and leads me to a corner booth where the mage is.

He bows to me, and the alpha makes quick introductions. The mage’s name is Nirvaan, and he doesn’t belong to any formal coven.

Maximus regards me, “Apphia, Nirvaan can be trusted. He’s one of my people and closest friends. I’ll leave you two to discuss,” he says.

I nod, and he leaves. Nirvaan smiles politely at me, putting me at ease- the mage gestures for me to sit, facing him with a small table between us.
