Book 2: Chapter 53

"Girl, look at you all red," Camila teased, laughing out loud. Martina couldn't help but join in, her laughter easing some of the tension she felt.

"I am not," Martina tried to deny, but Camila could see the truth in her eyes.

"Lie all you want, I know you too well," Camila smiled, wrapping her arm around her friend's shoulders as they both walked into the mansion.

"And I know you all too well," Martina replied, a playful smirk on her lips.

They made their way to the room, as maids and bodyguards passing them bowed their head slightly to them acknowledging their presence. 

"So, tell me more about your date," Camila said, "Before everything got interrupted."

Martina sighed, "It wasn't nice because it got interrupted before it even began. It felt more like I was on a date with my dad when all he wanted to talk about was business."

Camila's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Well, what did you expect when you posted that article huh?"
