Book 1: Chapter 36

Enzo walked out of the hall heading in the direction that Gabriella had walked. In hopes of catching up with her.

Gabriella fled down the corridor, her heart pounding and her breath coming in quick, shallow gasps. The cool walls of the mansion did nothing to soothe the heat flushing her cheeks. 

Why did she feel herself burning up from Enzo's touch on her lap and those words he said to her? It was as though she truly wanted him to touch her and do those nasty things he had whispered into her ear.

"Gabriella," she heard him call out to her. She kissed her teeth wondering why he had followed her, what part of 'excuse me' didn't he get. Wasn't she entitled to just one moment of privacy? 

Gabriella continued to walk down to her room, not paying attention to Enzo. But her feet were starting to ache and she could feel the bandage Maria had helped her with peeling off.
