Book 1: Chapter 43

By nighttime, Gabriella woke up yawning deeply and stretched her hands high, she still felt a bit sore between her legs but it wasn't as bad as when she first got in bed. 

She sat up, rubbing her eyes, she wondered how long she had been asleep, and noticed the tray of food and the phone on the bedside table. A phone? Did perhaps Maria forget her phone here, she couldn't have been so clumsy because there was a note attached to the side. 

Curiosity piqued, and she reached for the phone, peeling off the note attached to it. It read:

[Angel, you can reach me on this. Use it wisely - Enzo]

She turned the phone over in her hands, a mix of surprise and relief washing over her. She couldn't believe it, Enzo had given her a phone, It was a gesture that she had not expected from him, it made her feel less isolated, more a part of whatever was happening outside the walls of this room and house.
