Gabriella rolled her eyes at him, she tried to release her hand but the more she tried the more the knot tightened around her hand.
"Was this from the pool?" Enzo asked staring at the bandaged leg.
"What do you care?" Gabriella scoffed.
"Who injured you?" Enzo asked.
"It was a broken glass, okay?" Gabriella responded with a hint of irritation in her voice, clearly not wanting to dive into the details with Enzo. She avoided his gaze, focusing instead on a spot beyond him, trying to maintain a sense of control over her emotions.
Enzo's demeanor softened slightly as he processed her response. He took a step closer, his voice dropping to a softer tone, almost careful. "I see. I wasn't aware," he admitted, his gaze lingering on the bandage. "How did this happen? Did Maria attend to you?"
