“Why isn’t she waking up?” I pace back and forth around the room while Mani lies on the bed, eyes closed. It’s been three days since we saved her from Zoey; Doctor Fernandez had checked her up and the baby. He was surprised at how strong the baby’s heartbeat was, despite everything Mani had to go through.

My baby girl was a fighter, just like her mom. I don’t know the sex yet, but I have this feeling deep in my heart that it’s going to be a girl. a beautiful girl, just like her mother.
